Detarius MartinDetarius Martin a former Madison Spartans Player, was taken from those he loved and all of us who loved him this past June 2009.Tari as we all called him, attended James C. Wright and West High School were he was a star Varsity player for Coach Hodge. What we remember most about him was he was a gentle giant of a guy with a great sense of humor, and always was quick with a joke or smile. It was said his tall stature alone commanded your attention. But it was his wonderful presence that will forever be missed. During his days as a Madison Spartan, Tari played on one of the winningest MSB teams of all time and was coached by Coach Dennis Mc Clain and Coach James Adams. Our prayers and support go out to his family, Mother Bessie, Father Chuck, Daughter, Janiya and Son, Detarius Jr. and Brothers and his many cousins. We will miss you dearly.

Former Madison Spartans point guard Michelle Mueller, who led our MSB D-2 AAU National final four team, has accepted a scholarship to play soft ball for the Badgers. The 2008 All -State Basketball honorable mention led her La Crosse Logan Team to the 2008 State WIAA Tournament. Her team record for 2008-09 was 19-4 and 11-1 in conference.

Since last Basketball season Michelle has continued to garner awards. She was recognized as a All State and Conference player of the year in Soft Ball as a book end to her All State Basketball and Conference Player of the year, then she follow-ed that up with an Honorable Mention All State nod in Volleyball. Entering into her Senior season of High School will only solidify Michelle as one of the top HS female athletes in the State of Wisconsin. My mistake, did I say female athletes, heck HS Athletes period!!
